Cody’s First Snow

March 8th, 2008

Last night we received the heaviest snow fall so far of the Winter season! Around a foot or so of the gorgeous fluffy white stuff was covering the ground when I woke up.

Of course, my first goal of the day was to go outside and play with my cats! Oreo has seen his share of snow before, and bolted out the door really fast when I opened it, but Cody took his time sniffing around before he shuffled his little paws out there.

We had a blast! Cody ran around and climbed a little tree. Oreo bounded back and forth and finally took off to wherever he likes to go. Check out the rest of the pictures I took on my Flickr account!

Awww. How precious. Pouncy went out in the snow bundled up in a blanket to go to the doctor. Not a fun time in the snow for her. Cats are so cute when they are investigating things.

how cute! that’s such a pretty cat
our cat dislikes the cold as much as I do, I think..
anytime he sneaks out, when the door is opened, he
runs right back in!

We have a lot of snow too. Some places, the drift is over 3 feet high..
it’s a good excuse for me to stay curled up on the couch under a warm blanket!

I was going to ask you also about those little social icons. If you did make them, can I borrow the idea and give you credit for the idea? I am going to make my own icons, but I want to make sure it is ok with you and to let you know you are going to get the credit for the idea from me. Just like Rilla gets credit for her ideas that I borrow (with permission) from her.

It looks like you have that feature coded as a list:

To make the list items appear next to each other, rather than vertically stacked, you need to give that list a CSS class in your code. Something like “plugged”, maybe. When you do, you can add the following to your CSS stylesheet:

.plugged { display:inline; }

Hehe! I’m working on my layout right now. It seems like everyone else gets them done so much faster than me, but I know that’s all in my head. I’ve only been working on it for about a week, and really only about 3 days out of that week, so yeah! lol Just anxious I guess.

Yah! They are gravatars: http://www.gravatar.com … You sign up with the email you use to comment on blogs. Whenever that email is used on a gravatar-enabled blog (like mine) your gravatar icon will appear in the list!

How cute. I’m sure if we actually got snow where I live then my dogs would definitely venture out into the snow. For some reason they like to go outside when it rains. It seems they only go where there a big puddles though, lol.
