The most recent SNL starred the hot vocals of young singer Ashlee Simpson. Well...at least it was supposed to...turns out that Ashlee's voice didn't come out so hot during the live TV show. Apparently she was using a backing track "for the first time" and it backfired right in front of millions of TV viewers.
If you watch the footage all hear is the tape messing up, the band struggling to play some sound and Ashlee dancing like a maniac until she finally just walks off stage. Lol, don't believe me? Check it out!
Ashlee Simpson's dad says his daughter never used a so-called "backing track" until Saturday night -- and she only did it then because an upset stomach had hurt her vocal cords...Simpson was "mortified" after the incident -- and that a producer went and got her out of her dressing room for the goodnights, telling her it "wasn't the end of the world."
Well, I would be mortified, too! I actually kind of feel bad for her, I guess. But nonetheless, she is seen as a professional singer and therefore she should be prepared for the worst. Not every show is expected to be perfect. It obviously looked like it wasn't really her fault for the tape being faulty...but I'm sure she'll probably think twice again (or at least check twice) before using that kind of backup at a live show.

if youre going to screw your fans by lip syncing when youre supposed to be a “pro”, then you should at least be PREPARED, and not blame your band for playing the wrong song… that didnt even make any sense… pretty lame.

Disney, Vegas, and most ALL concerts that you see today have a certain portion of “syncing.” I felt sorry for her that Lorne Michael’s “professionals” could not handle something as simple as playing the right track (i.e. - their jobs). Therein lies your fools! I will no longer support SNL productions!

It’s a damn shame that you got a pool full of talented singers out there today who can sing real good that had to watch a anti-talented lip-syching ugly bitch clogging up space for others who is trying to make it in music to feed there families. The only blame she sould be putting it on is the people she sexual screwed to allow her to become famous like her pretty sister. In my option I think congress should pass a bill banding lip-syching for good.
