Hunting Goddess

December 7th, 2004
Hmm, yes. It has been a while. :D So what have I been doing for the last couple of weeks? Well, I visited family for Thanksgiving, threw a few snowballs, met a bunch of hilarious people, and got through the last few days of my classes for this semester. I'm almost done!! Just one more exam tomorrow, then a "joke" exam on Thursday and Christmas vacation here I come! :D The "joke" final is for my Magazine Writing class, my professor says he doesn't believe in finals but whoever's above him is making him give us one...so we're ordering pizza. :D Muah ha ha.
World of Warcraft
A big, big thing that I've been doing lately....remember a few entries ago I talked about the newest MMORPG to hit Geekville? World of Warcraft! Yes, blogosphere, I have joined the MMO pack! Thus the reason for the cryptic title to this entry. After driving many miles to get to a Best Buy that actually still had copies I was able to grab the game for myself! I also got some spiffy new speakers to enhance my gaming environment. :D Anyhoo, the picture to the right is of a Tauren Warrior overlooking the Golden Plains. The Tauren race is sort of like a cow or a bull or something. My main character is a Tauren Huntress, named Roshata. It took me three previous characters to find the one I liked the most. The first one I created was a Night Elf Druid named Ennilwen. I got her up to Level 8 and then got a little frustrated with her abilities. Next was a Night Elf Hunter and then a Human Warlock. All of these characters were created on the same server...but when I logged into the game yesterday the server was down, so to kill time I thought I'd try out something new on another server. Thus, Roshata was born. And she rocks my socks! I just got done playing quite a few hours (ahem, 12+, I know I'm insane) and was able to level her up to 10! She gained the ability to tame a wild animal and make it her pet. So I tamed a couger and named it Mishu. He follows Roshata around and helps her out with battles. This'll definitely come in handy when I try to take on harder quests in the game. I'm probably boring all of you non-gamers to death, so I'm sorry! I can't help it that I'm completely and totally obsessed with this game right now. Although it probably isn't good for me because I have Christmas-related things to do and not to mention having to work.... :dead: Blah. But oh well...sacrifices must be made, I guess. :) I hope everyone had a fantabulous Thanksgiving and if you are a student good luck with your finals, papers, and projects! Don't forget that Christmas is just 18 days away! Ho ho ho! I leave you with this earth-shaking quote:
"Computer games don't affect kids, I mean if Pac Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive music."
