National Treasure

This film had the potential to be either really good or really lame, depending on how the makers pulled it off. When I saw the trailer for the first time other movies like The Mummy and Ocean's 11 popped up in my mind because of the historical twist and grand theft heist that seemed related. Sure, some guy dedicates his life to a quest and is involved in countless dangerous situations along the way. Or the guy has to rob a bank to get something and is given a play-by-play about how impossible this bank is to rob. It's been done, many times. So naturally, if another movie ventures into this realm it has alot to live up to. :)

Thankfully National Treasure had a great plot that kept you guessing and even sitting on the edge of your seat at certain moments. The scenes are done so well that you sometimes feel like you are really are part of them. There is this one moment where the characters are walking on a really old and rickety wooden staircase which creaks and groans so much that it just seems to add to the building tension as you wonder what is going to happen next. I really love the historial value of the movie as well when they bring the plot in as being part of the USA's history; fictional of course, but still really cool. It was action-packed, suspensful and even humorous. Go see it and find out for yourself!

I've always been a fan of Nicholas Cage. :D Some of my favorite movies of his are Con Air, Face/Off, Gone In 60 Seconds, and Family Man. He does a great job in this film! I recommend it to everyone!

My favorite Nick Cage movie, in fact, my favorite movie of all time, is Raising Arizona.
