Daily Dirt
1. Which day of the week is your favourite? Thursday!
2. Which day would you prefer to wear black? Umm...whenever I ended up pulling a black shirt out of my closet after struggling to wake up, lol.
3. Why do you think they call it Monday Blues? Because its the day you are forced to do the weekly work-grind after a glorious weekend. ^.^
4. Why do you think there's only 2 days for weekends? Because whoever decided we had to work or go to school five days out of the week was a crazed insane person who probably was rich and owned a ton of factories where all he wanted to do was work them all to death as much as he could to get more money. That's only a theory you know...
5. If you can name your kids after the days, which would it be? ::cackles:: Wednesday...muahahaha....
Circle of Words
1. Children grow up, parents pass on, siblings move far away. Friends are always there no matter how near or far. Who are your best friends? What role do your friends play in your life? In what ways do you think you add to your friends lives? My best friends are the people I trust the most, the people I talk to first about things that go on in my life, those that I trust secrets with and those who trust me with the same kind of stuff. I consider people such as my sister Lisa, my mom, my roomie Stina, my friends Laura and Tony from the beginning of 9th grade, my youth pastor Jason and his wife Mary, and my pseudo-parents Mike and Kathy the closest thing to a best friend as I could have. Those who follow close behind are the Bobb kids, Alex, and a few select people that I'm getting closer to in my college ministry group. I don't know what ways I add to their lives, but I hope that they think of me as someone they can trust and confide in, because that is all I wanna be...a good friend! ^.^
2. How do you treat strangers? Are you kind and courteous to cashiers, store attendants, or waiters and waitresses? How do you think you come across to people who don't know you? How do strangers generally treat you? I try to treat people I don't know as nice as I can...I'm an introvert so its hard for me to actually talk to anyone I don't know, lol...but if I do come in contact with a stranger I try to be nice. I sympathize with cashiers and people who work the waitressing jobs, etc...mostly because I've been a cashier and so I know that 95% of the stuff that happens where they work is not their fault. Those jobs are pretty sucky, not too many people like having them even though sometimes its the only thing they can get if they need part-time, you know? I hate it when people (lol, like my mother) get annoyed or angry at cashiers and/or waiters/waitresses, etc, for their food being cold or their credit card not running through...its usually not their fault at all, they have to deal with hundreds of people like that a day...I feel like they need a break once in a while from frustrating customers and people...you know? I guess strangers treat me ok, I'm not often in situations where I have to interact with people I don't know, at least not anymore since I've lived here for a few months. My classes are so large this semester that its not necessary for me to walk up to someone and talk to them...its not like I don't want to its just that I'm a pretty shy person initially. It's just my nature, heh.
3. The holidays tend to bring many distant friends or family members together.. Do you have friends/family members that you don't see all that often until the holidays come? Do you have family/friends that visit from out of town? Do you travel out of town for the holidays? Do you enjoy the family gatherings that the holidays bring or do you dread them every year? I barely ever get to see relatives outside my immediate family, even during the holiday seasons. The past few years we've visited everyone more often though, its only because my family is military and we couldn't afford to take so many trips back and forth overseas to visit people all the time. All my family is from out of town...heck, I am from out of town, lol. And yes, I specifically and individually from now on will be traveling out of where I live every holiday I visit family. I don't dread it anymore...I really miss my family alot...so I can't wait to see them this Thanksgiving! Whoohoo!!
Monday Fill-Ins with Art as Interface connotations ::wink wink::
Now, Mr. Wassily Kandinsky walked through the Zen Garden. There, he met Mrs. Sen no Rikyu. She had a Tibetan sand painting on her head, while she did the hokey pokey with a yellow-polka-dotted purple pickle. This sublimed him and, together, they purified the spirit of color with a smile ten miles wide. Unfortunately, this resulted in the creation of the greatest teahouse on the planet, which meditatively brewed the rest of their lives.
Monday Madness
1. How many 'meals a day' do you eat? Ummm...I would have to say like 2 or 3 I guess...depends on what I'm doing...if I'm busy and where I'm located on earth. ^.^
2. Do you enjoy cooking? Why or why not? Yeah, I love it! It's great to create something that tastes good and that other people ask you all the time and over and over to make. It's also good to just eat stuff, hehe...yummm...
3. Who cooks most of the meals in your home? Well, I cook for myself usually.
4. Share a favorite recipe with us. When I was dating David we created this great pasta dish that I still love to make. You take broccoli and cauliflower and chop it up into small bits and cook it in water like you would prepare regular vegetables. Take any type of pasta (we used bowtie) and boil that up as well. Use a bag of combined 5 white cheeses and heat it up until melted in a sauce pan with some cooking oil, milk, salt and oregano or italian seasoning. Combine the vegetables and pasta and then finally your sauce! It's delicious....as a side suggestion, you could also add some good white wine to the sauce to give it more flavor. We did that the first time we made it and it was pretty excellent. ^.^
Listy Lunes
List the stereotypes/earmarks of bad drivers to you.
- people who go extremely slow (we're talking like 2mph) in my apartment complex while talking on a cellphone and driving in circles around the buildings
- leaving turn blinkers on and forgetting about it
- people who don't look before they reverse
- cars with hydraulic systems
- guys who think they are God's gift to women and scream out their windows at you
- guys who think you will love them forever if they turn up their music to levels louder than a freight train
- people who mosh to music and forget that they're driving (no offense to moshing, lol)
- people that drive way slower than the speed limit on the interstate
- those who ram their cars into my apartment complex's safety gates just because they forgot their entry card
- people who read books while driving
- probably more that I can't think of currently hehe....
