I spent all flippin' night last night making this simple flash game for a university class.
I think it turned out ok! I made it in like 8 hours with Photoshop and Flash 8. It won't take you hours to play, maybe not even minutes if you are crafty! The song is from Free Play Music, which is a great resource for free stock music, by the way.
When you click the image, the game will pop up in a smaller new window, so be aware! Also, I'm not too savvy with flash yet so I didn't know how to make a mute button. Also I was lazy.
So I'm sorry if the funky pirate music is too silly, hehe.
Bob the Pirate wishes you to help him find his treasure! So what are you waiting for, matey?! Swab the decks and shiver your timbers! Polish your sword and buckle your boots! Hitch a ride on Bob's pirate ship and sail into the high seas of adventure!
CSS Naked Day has come and gone! All around it was a good time and very informative, I think. It's interesting to see what your website looks like "nekkid", hehe. Without all its color and pizazz it is actually easy to pick out things that should be changed behind the "scenes". A better hierarchy of content order and navigation. Anyone else have this revelation while strippin' yesterday?
I discovered BrowserShots the other day! Why haven't I found this before! Here I was downloading all of these different browsers to view my site in when I could have just used this website. Silly me. And apparently this site is already well known around the web, so I feel extra silly. Sillyish, even...*wriggles*.
Another cool thing I found is this huge linkbait for CSS menus, which I will keep an eye on for future layout designs. There are so many amazing things you can do with CSS! You can make corners, boxes, speech bubbles...hell, you can even make a pixel car! Also, if you are heavy into CSS and want to maybe optimize your stylesheets more, definitely check out CSSTidy, which is an open source CSS parser and optimizer. I'm working on a new style for my site and am totally using this to help me break down my main stylesheet.
Hilarity ensued on the Q*Bee BBS after we finished an awesome forum game a couple days ago. If you are active on a forum, I highly suggest starting a game like this, it has hilarious results!
The game is called the Three Word Story, and it works by creating a story, post by post, of three word sentences. For example, the topic starter will say something like "Bob went to" and then someone could reply to the topic with "the fun house", the third could say "and he shimmied", and so on. Each post must only be three words! It's awesome and way too much fun to read the whole thing at the end! Feel free to read the amazing story that came out of the BBS!
I'm hungry and have not slept for almost 36 hours.
Ha! At least it's Friday, yay weekend!
Hope everyone has a great one!

Wow, lotsa comments to reply to!
@Heidi: Yay for Bob!
And yeah, hehe I feel outta the web loop!
@Nika: Thanks! And it wasn’t as hard to make as I thought it would be. Once you figure out some things with flash it’s pretty easy! And it may be something with Javascript that didn’t allow you to open it, but I’m glad you were able to get to it!
@Will: Hey no problem! I really love using them myself, very nice and useful!
And LOL, don’t worry, Bob the Pirate is forgiving!
@Ashley: Yay, thanks! *hugs* And WOOT for the Amazing Story!!
@Sigrun: Woo, thanks! And yeah, I normally only check mine in those two as well. I’m so glad I found that site! Yay for SNARK!!
@Grace: Hehe, glad that link I just gave you helped earlier and you could play it! Hopefully I can help you tomorrow with the speech bubbles, they are great!
@Ben: O rly?
Do tell, do tell! And glad you liked the game! Thanks!
@Angela: Yay nekkid! And YES you should! Totally post them, because I know you’ve found a bunch of good ones!
@Jordan: Oh I agree with that definitely…that would make it a much nicer list to browse! Wooo!
@Carly: Woot, no problem! They are great sites!
@Chaz: Thanks, babe!
Love you! *muah!*
