Friday Memes!
November 12th, 2004
TGIF, fun times! :bouncy: Let's do some memes, it's been a while:
Four for Friday:
Q1: If you were given the opportunity to perform in the circus, and you knew ahead of time that you would not fail, what would you do? Be a trapeze artist or a tightrope walker.
Q2: You've just been hired to a promotions position at a major breakfast cereal company. What would you put in a new cereal box as a gimmick? Sissors. Ok, I'm kidding...umm, an iPod. That way all my boxes would sell out like hotcakes and everyone would have their own iPod and quit spamming me to "help" them get one by signing up for something.
Q3: Who is the most famous or well known person you've had a face-to-face encounter with? Face-to-face? Can't think of anyone...but I am in contact with one of my favorite authors, Shane Johnson, who randomly found my website a while back.
Q4: Can you comfortably eat alone in a restaurant with nothing to do at the table but eat, i.e., nothing to read, no earphones to hear music thru, no one to talk with, etc.? What about going to the movies alone? I definitely cannot eat alone, or idle, at a restaurant, but movies I can go to by myself.
Friday Five:
1) Realistically, where do you think you'll be five years from now? What job will you be working, will you have family/friends/pets, where will you be living and how? Hopefully I'll be married. That's all I really know, everything else sort of hinges on that one aspect.
2) Unrealistically, given a perfect life, where do you want to be five years from now? Same thing as above.
3) What's the big barrier keeping number one and two separate and distinct, or is there one? Obviously, there's nothing.
4) Utterly and completely abandoning realism, make up where you'll be in five years. Alien abductions and portals to alternate universes are encouraged. Ergo the future Melissa...Captain of the Millenium Falcon on a mission to transport three humans and two android robots to another planet...wait...this sounds familiar....
5) Where did you believe you'd be now, five years ago? Pick a crucial event of the past five years and tell us where youd be now if it had been different. Ha! Let's see, five years ago I would have been around 15, starting my sophomore year in highschool I think. I was still immaturely obsessed with the boyfriend I had...I don't think I need to explain further. Let's just say that if it had continued I wouldn't be where I am now, not even in this state.
Friday Fiver:
1. Do you trust your instincts? Maybe sometimes too much.
2. Get up and go or plan, plan, plan? My dad would say: "Prior planning prevents poor performance."
3. Do you ask for directions when you are lost or do you keep on going? Definitely ask.
4. Right now: do you know which way is east? Uh..probably behind me, because I see the sunset out my window.
5. If a tree falls in the woods, and no one hears it -- did it make a noise? Well, obviously. And someone had to hear it...what about all the crickets and bunnies and ponies and wild squirrels that frolic around those woods? Do they not count? Is there some kind of prejudice going on against woodland creatures?? :dead:
Friday's Feast:
Appetizer: Name 3 cosmetics/toiletries that you use on a daily basis. Oil of Olay face wash, Ocean Potion Aloe Lotion, and Colgate toothpaste. I don't wear make up that often.
Soup: Approximately how much exercise do you get per week, and what type of exercise is it (walking, running, swimming, etc.)? Uh...none...besides walking around campus.
Salad: Write a sentence including your favorite color and your favorite food. Gazing out her window at the yellow and orange sorbet colored sky, Melissa sighed happily and dunked another Double Stuf oreo into a glass of milk.
Main Course: What famous person/celebrity do you think you look like? Lol, I don't think anyone. My face is a very average one.
Dessert: Name 2 simple things that never fail to make you happy. A good book and a good movie.
Weekend Wonderings:
1. How often do you get sick? Pretty much never.
2. Do you go to the doctor when youre sick? Not usually.
3. What time of year are you most likely to get sick? During stressful times, like the middle of the semesters when there are midterm exams, or at the end when there are finals.
