Rock the Vote!
September 17th, 2004
Gahhh! :x This week has been uber (and when I fling geek words around like that I'm serious) stressful! I haven't been getting alot of sleep because I'm trying to cram in work hours and homework, and classes and hanging out with people into what feels like a 5-hour week! :x I've had a weird exhausting-type sickness that plagued me until yesterday. Why you ask? Because I accidentally slept five hours past my 8am alarm that made me miss two classes with assignments I will now get no grade for and be late to a mandatory orientation for something in another class! AUGH! :o Looking on the sunny side, at least I was able to gain some lost sleep hours back. *Sigh!* Oh well! Thus is life. I will just have to do my best next week.
I hope everyone's week has gone much better than mine!
I read an interesting quote in Quote of the Day:
This is such a true statement! You should be who you are and express yourself...because the opinions of those who judge you just aren't important...and those who you care about will love you for your antics anyway, so it just doesn't matter. It is a godsend of a quote for freaks and geeks (like me, hehe) who have it rough sometimes. Dr. Seuss was such a smart man.
Power to the people!
Oh yeah! Guess what!? I registered to vote today (finally)!
This is so exciting! Also, Guitarangel.net has been registered in the Rock the Vote advertising campaign! Everyone over 18 needs to register! No matter who you vote for in the upcoming election you should at least participate in some way to shape the course of politics, etc, in our country. It is important!
Interested in further reasearching the agendas of both presidential candidates before you decide your vote? Check out these sites: Bush's Agenda & Profile, Kerry's Agenda & Profile. Understand that by listing these websites I am taking a non-biased stance for the reason of only promoting the act of registering to vote! I think being eligible to take part in elections is a great honor and my own opinions and views are not obstacles for that cause. Whatever your beliefs are, please don't forget to vote and actually do something about them!!
Oh yes, and thanks everyone for posting your experiences with dieting/exercising, etc! All the tips have been really helpful. I've heard a great deal about the Atkins diet (my dad is kind of on it) but I don't know whether I want to try it or not. I kind of think that if I just increase my exercise time a bit more I'll be able to lose weight and not worry so much about what I eat. Just my logic, hope it works.
Have an awesome weekend everyone!
I'll be at the Tampa Bay Blogger Fest! Adios!
PS - The webcams section has been updated!
