A coworker linked me a very cool application called Websites As Graphs. I have unofficially dubbed it as a "Website Tree", hehe.
The image to the right is actually what GuitarAngel.net looks like in tree-form!
Pretty cool, in my opinion.
You can type in any site in the box, then watch it dynamically "grow" in front of your eyes! The application draws out the dotted hierarchy based upon the code structure of the queried website. The little colored dots each represent an HTML tag. It gives you a nice visual of how your code is organized behind the scenes!
I'm also plugging another newfound tool that is going to literally save me from beating my desk in frustration whenever I'm multi-tasking on the computer! This amazing little goodie is aptly named the Taskbar Shuffle and it's only purpose is to allow you to move the buttons on your Windows taskbar! Yes, the previously unmovable program window buttons! I about fainted with joy when I discovered it today.
Whenever I get in the "zone" of web design, I always have my programs opened in a certain order so I can quickly click between them on the Windows task bar. Yeah, I could ALT+Tab, but I'm more of a mouse-clicker than a keyboard shortcut person. That's just the way I roll, yo.
My preferred program order iis: Firefox, an FTP program, Notepad++, and then Photoshop. Those four must be in that specific order for me to work! I'm not usually a nut-job about little things like that, hehe, but I just got used to working efficiently that way. Whenever I am forced to shut down a program I literally have to shut them ALL down so I can have that order again.
Oh yes and FYI, I have been feverishly working on a snazzy new site design this past week! With this new layout, I will have crossed huge bridges in my coding skills, in my opinion. I'm trying lots of new things! I wanted to be so innovative that it took me 10 revisions before I settled on the 11th one as the final.
So be prepared for a massive update around here! The overall layout is done, all that is left is the tweaking and wiggling of elements here and there to make things be all snug. I'm so excited, I hope everyone likes the new look!
Woot!

Awww, thanks!
