Bush Re-Elected

November 3rd, 2004
I know I'm a bit late with the announcement, hehe, but YES! GWB has been re-elected! I'm so happy that it turned out this way...my personal values and beliefs on issues coincide alot more with Bush's policies than Kerry's. I have a few classes tomorrow where a good number of them supported the senator in the election...I'm curious to hear their comments and I'm sure I will hear them loud and clear in surround sound stereo. :D One thing I was disappointed in today. In my speech class (and this is in a large lecture hall) I had just sat down to wait for class to start when a group of girls started talking with a professor close by me: "Did you hear?? VICTORY IS OURS! Another major win for the Republicans! Hahaha! We don't have to move to Canada! Bush won and we have a majority in Congress!!" They were looking around throwing pointed glances at everyone in the room like they were queens of the world or something...they talked so loudly and practically everyone coming in the door heard them. Some people who had sat down around me started making snide comments about the girls. If I hadn't been a Republican and Bush supporter I would have probably been doing it right along with them...I just think it's rude for those girls to to rub it in like that. There are people who dedicate their lives to the things they believe in and the people who back them up and I'm sure that Kerry's defeat really tore at them. I have nothing really against Democrats or anyone who supported Kerry during his campaign and I just hate it when people are so insensitive like that. I don't doubt that it would be the same way vice-versa...certain people rubbing it in our faces if Bush had lost...but that just goes to show you how kind and thoughtful everyone is now-a-days. (Note sarcasm.)
