Ni hao, Beijing!
August 29th, 2004
Watching the closing ceremonies for the 2004 Olympics is so awesome!
Seriously...I know it's corny but when they showed the passing of the Olympic flag from Athens to Beijing it was almost emotional, I got teary-eyed.
Hehe! I am so going to try my hardest to make it to China for the 2008 Olympics! That would rock! Also...I want to figure out when and where the Winter 2006 Olympics are going to be held...I'd like to maybe try and get to see those games live as well. It almost gives you the feeling that the world is at peace and without turmoil when international events like this take place...where everyone kind of unites together to just play some sports and forgets for a moment all the crazy things going on outside the hype and excitement of cheering for your country as the athlete who represents your colors stands tall upon the medalist podium as your national anthem is played loud and clear to the rising of your flag! Whoooohooo! Extreme patriotism outside of war...outside of all the political messes and internal as well as external problems in the world....it is just so moving...I can't even explain how awesome the feeling is...and this is just from watching everything on TV! Amazing, I tell you.
On another note, Princess Diaries 2 was a pretty cute movie.
I am definitely not a chick-flicky type of girl...but it had a good amount of comedy and humor in it to keep me in my seat.
Although the girly-girl inside me (and we're talking deep within here, hehe) did however maybe sort of even just for a minute kind of half-wished that I had a princess-type life for just a second.
*giggles* Who wouldn't?? Especially the life that Mia had in that movie...shut UP!!

yeah, I’m not a chick flick person per se, but I like disney movies….appeals to the kid left behind in yesteryears. I’ve been waiting to see it…you’re post has inspired me further. I think I will go see it.
I think Winter Olympics 2006 is held in Turin?, Italy.. and then in 2010 it’s going to be in Vancouver :bouncy:
Anyways, cute smilies and I love the graphic above your blog! So cool!
