Do a little dance!
June 13th, 2004
Yeah so I'm bored and waiting for my laundry to dry so I can go to sleeeeeep!
I'm currently a camp counselor, exhausted...which is why I don't update much anymore. Haven't had much time even when I wasn't a counselor before to update...I think I'm getting kind of bored with journaling and the internet thing besides checking other people's journals and stuff. Most people don't like to read about what you did today or yesterday or about this new thing you did or new person you met. Even though it's exciting to you it's probably totally mundane to them unless they know you pretty well and/or you talk about them in your entries.
I don't really care much about this anymore...it used to bother me a bit and make me sad but that's the way it is and even I do it too...skim long entries unless I catch something interesting enough to make me read the whole thing. And then I totally skip the entries that have one or two lines that just say utter nonsense that no one understands but the person who wrote it and the select two or three who "get the joke" or whatever. :o Lol, seriously, what's the point of having a journal if you just use it to mess around? To each his own I guess...I don't care as long as they don't tell me what to do.
Woot woot.
By the way...for those of you who are actually into the mundane...I'm having a really awesome summer! I have a pretty nice tan so far and I know how to correctly shuffle cards! My two major goals for summertime have been completed.
I'm reading this great book called The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. It's a pretty superior book to most that I've read...great stuff...definitely recommended for anyone who likes a good read with thought-provoking events and twisty bits of humor that leave you laughing your ass off and tensing up at the same time for what happens next to Henry and Clare, the main characters. The main thing you need to know is that Henry has this condition called Crono-Displacement disorder where "periodically his generic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous, his experiences unpredictable, alternately harrowing and amusing." It just rocks.
Ok, time to go check on my laundry again. Hope y'all are havin' a great summer so far!
Cya!

Ugh you’re so lucky that its “summer” for you. We don’t get out of school until June 24 and its sooo annoying waiting. And btw I like reading your entries, it gives me something to do
Don’t think like that. That’s sad. Even if no one care to read it or something, it should be special to you because later on, you can look back and say, “oh wow, I did that?”.
Hey Melissa….I’m glad you are having fun as at camp….it gets boring here at night without my favorite night owl staying online until 6 in the morning on a sugar rush…..haha
I like reading about your mundane summer/life. that’s how i feel about kids who don’t want to go to sleep at night! you’re much more patient than i am…see ya later
