The epic movie, rawr! Yeah, so I've been busy trying to find a job and get settled after moving. Happy to report that I'm going to be the Music Director for a Girl Scout camp this summer! Woot! 
I'll be helping out with campfires, teaching songs, and whatnot. Also, I'll be working with a real band that the camp has hired for three of their "Music" programs! And I get to be Unit Leader for a program that focuses on making and editing movies on computers with the campers! Ahhh! Happiness!
Of course it isn't the ultimate job for my degree, but hey, I positively loved being a camp counselor back in 2004 and I am so stoked about being able to play guitar and bring my computer to camp! They have wireless internet! I just about died when I heard that. So I can still blog the whole summer! SCORE! I'm also hoping this job will feed into a more stable job for me at the end of the summer. If I get to know the Girl Scout council here, I may be able to network a bit! Woot!
The title actually refers to my camp name, Sunny! I've had it since I was a camper myself as a kid. My camp directors gave it to me because I was a bubbly rainbow of cheerfulness and I wore a yellow hat constantly. 
It was natural for me to resume my kid camper name when I became a counselor, and not just because I was working for the same directors who were there when I was a kid! I always morph into something else whenever I'm at camp, something good that is. 
I get ten times more cheerful and twenty times more loud. If I could, I would cartwheel to everywhere in camp instead of walk, hehe.
I've decided that I want a Nintendo DS! Way too many people at the Quilting Bee have one and talk about fun games all the time! Chaz actually has a white one and offered to give it to me but I want a pink one. Yes, if I must be a girl geek then I will be a girl geek! I can pull myself away from my super fun slash n' bash games for long enough to retreat to my feminine side!
So yeah, going to save up for one of those this summer hopefully. And then go get Harvest Moon, which I've been dying to play! Chaz has some cool games that I'd like to try out as well.
Who's going to see Shrek 3 this weekend?! I want to! Poor Chaz has had to work a ton lately but I'm hoping we can go tomorrow night. It better be good! And then POTC3 is coming out next week!! It is such a great summer for movies! Harry Potter #5 in July! Oh wow, I'm so excited!
Chaz was a sweetie and bought me the Seasons expansion pack for the Sims 2! So I've updated my Sims 2 gaming page with some new screenshots. I've also started a practice Legacy Challenge that you can read about on that page if you like. It's so much fun so far!
New site design is being planned! My deadline for this is the end of May before I start my camp job. Wish me luck!
I was always told the more expirience you have no matter your degree you can use it as a good thing for the career you want. I want a DS too but I can’t even afford to pay attention anymore. I also want to go see a movie or so but as said b4 I am poor. Have a good time at girl scouts.
I tell you what… we’re going to go see Shrek 3 tomorrow ourselves at the Movie Tavern. Here in Lexington, it’s this sit down and eat while watching your favourite movie place. I’ve never been but my best friend and her hubby are taking their son and we’re going with out daughter. You should totaly come with us!! Seriously!! What better a public place to meet, not to mention if it turns into akward silence, that’s ok because one, we’ll be shoving food in our mouths and two, there’s a movie to watch!

I want a pink DS. I wouldn’t have any use for it as I don’t play games but the fact that it’s a pink electronic… I have to have it.
You know, I’ve never been to camp. As a kid, I was always at this person’s house or that, rarely home, i guess my parents felt they didn’t need to send me? I hope you have a blast being camp counselor Miss Sunny, lol. I would so enjoy that kind of job!! :art:
Yay DSs! They’re great fun, I personally recommend Phoenix Wright if you like detectivey games.
I wouldn’t recommend getting the Harvest Moon DS because I’ve heard from a number of people that the game is quite buggy in that it would freeze every once in a while. I recommend waiting a bit to get the upcoming Harvest Moon: Rune Factory (also for DS) which is the next HM game to come out. I’m personally waiting for that one, I love Harvest Moon!
I couldn’t believe it when my inbox said I had 15 new emails. My first thought was that some spam had gotten through. I was so happy to see all those comments for you. What crazyness it must have been for you to play catch up with everyone’s blogs, haha!
That sounds like such an awesome summer job you’ve got going for you! I wish I had the opportunity to do something like that. Playing music and computers is like the ultimate wet dream. WOWSA!!
I get to go see Shrek 3 tomorrow with two of my friends whom I haven’t seen in the longest time! So stoked! I still haven’t seen Spidey #3 but Josh & I are planning on spending a whole day at the movies to see that and PotC: At World’s End!

I have the harvest moon game for the ds, and I have no idea how to work it. *sad face*
I’m not sure what everyone likes about the Nintendo DS… I find it a bit boring. Maybe I will turn and get one in the summer.

Haha, you saying you’re going to work at a camp totally reminds me of The Addams Family (I think Addams Family Values) movie where Wednesday and Pugsly go to camp and wreak havoc. Are you going to be one of those annoyingly chipper camp counselor types that gets shot at by flaming arrows? O noes!!!1
Ooooh welcome back Sunny! I’ve heard about her, hehe. You wrote about her in your Spotlight Bee answers. I think that’s a great nickname to have. I think we’d get along great in real life, because I love happy, bubbly people. I’ve never been to a camp before, but they sound like loads of fun and a great way to meet people.
Shrek 3! I can’t wait to see that. I’m also looking forward to POTC3 too. And I’m eagerly awaiting the 5th Harry Potter movie and the final book. Hooray for The Sims 2. I’ve never gotten past the 3rd legacy with the legacy challenge. It’s definitely a goal of mine.
Oh and congratulations on graduating! All those years of studying will not be for nothing. I’m sure it’ll all be worth it in the end. I can see big things for you, and I’m not just saying that.

I have a pink Nintendo DS and love it. You must get one! There are so many super cool games! I have Harvest Moon DS and it is…. insane! Like, it’s just really difficult for me. I’ve never played any HM before, and it’s so complex! And time goes by so fast during the game! And like Belinda said, it does freeze up sometimes. I haven’t had too much trouble with that though. It’s not nearly as bad as Zoo Tycoon for DS. If you ever get a DS and still want Harvest Moon, I’ll sell you mine for a discount.
Colin’s birthday is the 28th and we’re going to see the new Pirates movie together, and then my family and us are going to see Shrek 3. Movie time is fun time!! I love movies!

You’ll love the DS lite. It’s my new best friend. I got a decal for it, so it’s actually multiple colors with fluffy clouds on it. I recommend Phoenix Wright-it’s my latest obession. OH and Mr. Driller is always loads of fun.

I just read through the legacy challenge, and I really wanna play the sims again! but I haven’t set up my stationary computer, and I don’t think my laptop could handle the game.. lol
