I graduated from my university last Friday! Woot! I now have my Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media: Internet & Interactive Systems!
Sounds fancy doesn't it? It's just a sugar-coated way of saying "web design", hehe. It was a sweltering 90-ish degrees outside and I was still literally melting from giving my family a tour of campus even after we moved inside for the ceremony. Blah! They don't call Florida the Sunshine State for nothing.
And I was sad that we didn't get to throw our hats in the air! I think everyone was looking at each other and considering it...and even one lone guy at the front threw his hat but the moment passed.
Chaz came down for my graduation ceremony (which was fun times!) and then helped me pack up my apartment for the move. I threw away so much stuff, including my futon (a crappy $100 one from Walmart), some of my appliances, and at least five or six humongous black trash bags full of papers and whatnot!
Poor Chaz was moaning and groaning the whole time we were moving stuff around and packing it into the cars. On the flip side, I was happily skipping around while organizing everything! After a few hours of listening to him complain (and getting miffed about it) I finally realized that the reason he was so miserable was because he had only moved once in his life, as opposed to me who has moved 12 times across oceans and continents! So I empathized with him a bit after that.
It took a super fun 13 hours to drive from Florida to Kentucky, but we did it in ONE day! Woot! And I was too glad that my iPod actually lasted all the way up until the last 30 minutes of the trip! I'm not kidding!
I just had a playlist of my favorites shuffling and on repeat. A lot of Fergie and other music to keep me awake. Also lots of Mountain Dew, hehe! So I'm here! Now all I have to do is um...get a job.
I'll work on that! Ha!
I'd like to plug Perfection, which is a design gallery for unique and lovely site designs. If you have a personal website, then check out the guidelines and join!
It's a very fun online community too.
Speaking of design, I also need to get working on a new one for this site! Seriously, it's summer now and I'm getting tired of this color scheme. Oh yes, my online portfolio, KirakoDesign.com, has officially launched as of last weekend, yay! Check it out if you like and see some of my work.
And wow, my Q*Bee friend Jessica made a fanlisting for me! For me! That is so sweet of her and it really made my day.
Thanks so much, Jessica!
Have a great Wednesday, everyone! Lost comes on tonight!!
Excitement!

Hehe, yay, thanks everyone!
