When did you join the Quilting Bee?
I actually first became a member way back when the Q*Bee was hosted by "supersonicsquirrel.net", haha! Then I fizzled out...then back in a year or so later. Disappeared again...and then came back in July of 2006 and here I am to stay! :D I love the club too much now to ever leave again. :)
What made you want to join the Quilting Bee?
I just remembered how much fun I had making my quilt site and patch, trading and getting to know other bees! There really is no other online club like the Q*Bee. :D
How did you get started pixeling?
Joining this club, haha! :D I don't usually pixel much of anything outside the activities and club stuff.
What inspired you to create your first website?
I actually became addicted to the web first by getting into ICQ, an instant messaging system that was big in the country I was living in (Suriname) when I was 12. I started surfing the web more after that and found Neopets and GeoCities (when they were super popular and GeoCities wasn't Yahoo-owned, lol). After dabbling around with HTML I created my first amazing website which I like to look at every once in a while for a good laugh. :P
What are some of your future goals?
At the moment, I am actually quite happy and satisfied with my life career-wise. I just got a great job with a web design company as a custom designer, which is lots of fun. The only real goals I have at the moment are to get married (if he ever gets around to asking me!) and have kids someday...and just enjoy life to the fullest. :D
School or Work
I just graduated last Spring from college with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Digital Media, Internet & Interactive Systems. Fancy description for web design stuffs. I had some odd jobs and then, as I mentioned above, I finally landed the closest thing possible to my dream job...doing custom layouts and things for clients at a web design company. :) I love it!
Hobbies
My biggest passion (or should I say obsession) right now is gaming. I love playing PC and console games of all kinds! My big top three games at the moment are World of Warcraft, The Sims 2, and Rollercoaster Tycoon 3! I also have all the expansion packs for those games. I kind of rotate between the three, depending on what I feel like playing. I am actually in the process of creating a section of my website dedicated to my "gaming life", with screenshots and stories of my characters.
When I don't feel like gaming I am usually reading books! I love stories of epic adventures and well developed imagery. Books that are filled with colorful descriptions of the events and characters and the scenery are what I love the most! Some of my favorite books to read over and over are Eragon, The Last Guardian, ICE, and the Harry Potter series, of course! :D
In your own words!
I believe nothing else can finally sum "me" up better than the last part of my own online bio: "I truly believe in laughter as medicine for the soul and a natural remedy for any illness. Nicknamed Sunny as a camp counselor during 2004, my goal in life is to try and make every person I meet laugh or smile at least once for longer than 10 seconds.
Other goals include living 100 years, visiting every continent on the planet, and growing my hair out long enough so that by the time I am 80 I will have a beautiful silver braid trailing down my back. Only about 80 more years, three more continents, and 20 more inches of hair left until I can rest in peace."
