Introducing Lulu!

July 8th, 2008
Lulu the Zombuki!

She's finally here! :D I would like everyone to meet Lulu, my first ever Pullip doll! She is a Zombuki, a customized creation by my friend Brigitte, who is also bee #1 in the Quilting Bee. :)

I was not into dolls while growing up (micro machines FTW) and I had only heard about these dolls randomly from surfing the web. But after helping Brigitte redesign Zombuki.com, I realized just how lovely they are! Especially the work that Brigitte does, she creates such beautiful customizations to the dolls that they are truly unique works of art. :)

Lulu came with a ton of clothes and other little goodies that I'm definitely going to make some great photos out of. Also, shame on Brigitte, I am probably dangerously close to making an obsession out of this. XD If any of you are into collecting these dolls, please recommend some online shops!

Having her be so bright and colorful couldn't have come at a better time. I've been in serious need of cheering up after last week and receiving Lulu today brought my smile back, if only for a little while. Thank you, Brigitte!

Lulu looks so cute. I know the feeling of being obsessed with them. I want one too. But I am afraid if I get one then I will want another then another and another, so on & so forth. The prices are stopping me, though. Plus, my father would never let me live it down if I stated collecting dolls again. After 150 Barbies, I don’t think Dad would be happy, lol.

*HUGS*

How pretty! I’ve come across many blogs with Blythe dolls lately, but I’ve never heard of Pullip dolls. Very cute :)

Sorry to hear about your work. That’s a bummer. But with your talent I’m sure you’ll find another great one in no time :)

I was a huge Barbie doll fan till about 12 years of age… and I still have this large doll on top of my dresser because it looks girly. In all actuality it’s damn ugly because I was trying my makeup artist skills on it.

Now I REALLY want a doll like that… but then I’m not into dolls now… and…….. *runs off to stare at Melissa’s pictures.

Lucky gal!

She is so cute! How much did she cost? :)

She was sort of expensive since she was customized, hehe, but I consider her well worth it. If you’re really interested in knowing what Brigitte charges you can probably ask her on her website! :D
